FAQ
Removing a tree is permanent, so always make sure you do your research. Ask our certified Cairns tree expert everything you need to know to make sure you make the right decision. Here are a few FAQs to help you:
Can You Cut Big Trees
Yes. With our combination of equipment and climbers, we can manage any tree of all sizes.
Will You Clean It After You Are Done?
Yes. We remove all the waste materials and leave your property exactly as we found it.
Can I Hold Mulch Or Firewood?
Yes, of course! Just ask for it!
Why Can't I Just Do It Myself?
Three words: danger, danger, danger. You can damage yourself or the tree, and if the tree is protected, you may be violating council regulations. A badly pruned tree can suffer and eventually die – they don’t automatically heal themselves. Always call a qualified tree maintenance specialist first!
How Does Your Pricing Work?
All trees are different, so we always personally review your trees before bidding. Pricing depends on the difficulty of access, the size and type of tree, and the potential danger of the job.
Are You Insured and Have Security Certificates?
Yes, and yes. We are insured for up to $20 million in public responsibility and all our staff are officially trained in all necessary applications.
What Is The Difference Between Hiring Tree Experts And Cutting The Tree Yourself?
Shaping is to cut large parts of a tree without any thought, planning or concern for the health of the tree. Qualified tree experts understand tree biology and never “smash” large parts of your tree indiscriminately. We carefully choose which branches to cut, trim and remove.
How do I Deal With Protected Vegetation Orders?
Your tree can be protected under council legislation. Before we take out our equipment, we need to make sure we don’t break any laws. It is up to you as a property owner to obtain council permits. You only need to make a simple phone call to your local council.
However, if the tree is protected, you must apply for permission. We would have done this for you, but unfortunately, it’s not allowed – it must be you. We’d be happy to help if you need help to understand how to go through this process.
Why Can’t I Let The Stump In My Garden As It Is?
Tree stumps pose a danger to children playing in your garden and damage lawnmower. Leaving an old stump can lead to the growth of new trees. The new sprouts will start to appear before you know it. Old decaying logs will attract insects to your garden. It can take years for the stumps left on your lawn from decaying trees to literally decay. Thus it is necessary to hire a tree lopping expert in Cairns and remove it as soon as you can.
